Yes, all the jewellery is entirely handmade in the Morvan region (Nièvre), in my workshop. Each piece is carefully crafted, either made to order or in small batches, which guarantees artisanal quality and meticulous attention to detail.
The workshop is located in Empury (58140), between Lormes, Vézelay and Corbigny, in the Nièvre department, in the Morvan Regional Natural Park. It's a little corner of Burgundy, a stone's throw from Avallon, on the A6 motorway and the Burgundy Wine Route.
925 silver contains 92.5% pure silver, while 950 silver contains 95%. Both are precious and durable, but 950 silver is slightly purer. I choose one or the other depending on the type of jewellery and the desired look.
Vermeil is a type of jewellery made of solid silver covered with a layer of fine gold at least 5μm thick. It offers the appearance of gold with a precious silver base, making it a durable and affordable alternative.
Vermeil consists of a sterling silver base covered with a thick layer of gold, giving it an appearance similar to solid gold and offering durability while retaining the intrinsic value of silver. Most vermeil jewellery has an 18-karat gold plating, but I've chosen to work with 24-karat pure gold to guarantee the brilliance and value of the piece. It's a compromise of excellence that I prioritize to offer unique and lasting creations.
I prioritize made-to-order production, limiting overstock, and offer a recycling service for antique jewellery. I also recycle silver by sourcing antique cutlery and transforming it in my workshop. Materials are carefully selected for a more responsible approach.
